Mold Testing
The
toxic levels of mold vary from one location to another. We recommend
a total visual home inspection be done in order to determine the
extent of a possible mold problem. Then samples will be sent to
METS laboratories for professional analysis.
Water
Testing
The
experts at METS laboratories will do a complete analysis to insure
your water meets or exceeds the FHA and standards. Attention
private well owners: Based on EPA recommendations, VA and
FHA require at a minimum, tests for bacteria, nitrate, nitrite,
nitrate/nitrite and lead. Also, EPA and American Ground Water
Trust recommend that private wells be tested annually for the
safety of the residents.
Lead
Testing
Most
homes built prior to 1978 contain some lead-based paint. Most
homeowners unknowingly contaminate their homes when they remodel
or repaint rooms that contain lead-based paint. Even though homeowners
may be careful to remove paint chips, they don't realize that
as they sand and scrape, lead dust is being created. The lead
dust is easily spread throughout the home on their shoes, clothing
and on air currents.
Radon
Testing
This
invisible and odorless gas, if gone undetected, can cause physical
harm. The company that performs our radon testing (Majca and Associates,
Inc.) is licensed in the State of Illinois under License #RNC192067,
and is a member of AARST.
